Why cant floods be stopped?

this is because of the water pressure if you try to stop it you might drown which most likely the only way to stop a flood is a dam if your area doesnt have a dam there is little chance you can stop it also floods might happen more during night because of the moons gravity creating the low and the high tides so do not try to stop a flood or you will possible drown :)
