Discoloration of a action fig. toy in a pin light?

i notice that some of toy collectors have a light bulb in their cabinet of a action fig.,so my question is this also affected the fig. from the light bulb cause it also create heat right?actually i am currently starting collecting action fig. toys.hope to give me some more detail to how to take care my toys.thanks
