Should I drill with my reserve unit as an enlisted soldier before going to OCS?

I really want to go to drill -- it will be a bit of money, I will learn a lot before BCT, and it would be great to meet the people in the unit. However, I am worried that the power dynamic might be weird. I will go in at E-4 for a few months, then disappear, and come back as an officer. Would it undermine my authority later on for soldiers to have seen me at a low rank and inexperienced? I would rather be a better leader down the road than drill now, but if possible, I'd like to have a way to drill also.
